Anders Persson, CFA^®

Anders is Chief Investment Officer, Head of Global Fixed Income, and a member of the Nuveen Senior Leadership Team. He oversees all public and private fixed income activities, including portfolio management, research and trading. Anders is also a member of the Global Investment Committee and chairs the Global Fixed Income Investment Council. Anders serves as a trusted voice on the complexities of fixed income markets and regularly appears in the media and speaks at industry conferences.

Prior to his current role, he was head of fixed income portfolio management, head of research, and a leveraged loan and CLO portfolio manager. Before joining Nuveen, he was a member of Société Générale’s European high yield team in London, and later at Schroders Investment Management. He also worked as a sell-side high-yield research analyst at Wells Fargo, formerly First Union. Anders is a native of Sweden.

Anders graduated with a B.S. Business Administration, Finance/Economics from Lander University and an M.B.A. from Winthrop University. Anders holds the CFA^®designation and is a member of the CFA Institute and the North Carolina Society of Security Analysts. Anders serves on the Board of the North Carolina Chapter of Breakthrough T1D.
