Chris Zissis

Chris Zissis is Chief Information Officer of Nuveen and a member of the Executive Management Team. He is responsible for advancing the firm’s technology and operations strategy to accelerate Nuveen’s growth as a world-class global asset manager. Chris also drives the enterprise priorities for Nuveen as part of the wider client services and next-gen technology strategy, which focuses on the transformation and integration of the technology ecosystem in partnership with the firm's enterprise technology shared services.

He most recently served as Head of Investment Technology and CTO of International and a member of the Technology, Digital & Client Experience, Operations, and Shared Services (TDOSS) and Nuveen Senior Leadership Teams. In this role, he was accountable for bringing the Technology and Operations groups together across the globe, leading the technology strategy to enable growth and continuing to build out the One Nuveen strategy across our public and private markets.

Chris brings more than 25 years of technology, data and digital experience in financial and professional services, where he has led global transformations, digital and data strategies and complex integrations across multiple legal jurisdictions. Prior to joining Nuveen in 2021, he held roles including Technology Officer and Head of Application Delivery for the International and UK Retail Banks of Barclays PLC; Group Chief Information Officer for real estate and investment management firm DTZ; and Global Chief Technology Officer and CIO, Capital Markets at Jones Lang LaSalle.

Chris graduated from The University of Cape Town with a Bachelor degree in Economics, B.Soc.Sc Honours, and an M.A in Clinical Psychology. He serves as a Board Trustee of the Woodland Trust, which is focused on sustainability and seeing a UK rich in native woods and trees.
