Matt Wieser

Matt is a senior research analyst for the municipal fixed income team at Nuveen. He is responsible for conducting credit analysis and providing trade recommendations for credits in the tax-backed, transportation and other not-for-profit sectors.

Prior to joining the firm in December 2020, Matt came to Nuveen with 10 years of public finance experience, most recently at Hammond Hanlon Camp (H2C) where he was a Vice President providing investment banking and strategic advisory services to not-for-profit hospitals and other healthcare service organizations. Before H2C, Matt worked for Ziegler as a Senior Associate for the General Municipal and Structured Finance team where he provided investment banking and financial advisory services for clients in the general municipal and project finance sectors. Matt began his career in the investment industry in 2009 with Moody’s Investors Service as a municipal credit analyst responsible for tax-backed credits with a focus on the Midwest region.

Matt graduated with a B.A. from the University of Notre Dame.
