David Wood, Ph.D.

David Wood is the Chief Quantitative Strategist and oversees day-to-day systematic investment management processes and manages the portfolio management team. At Brooklyn, he is responsible for the conception, implementation, and enhancement of quantitative strategies and risk analytics for the full range of investment services.

Before joining Brooklyn in 2022, David held the position of Head of Quantitative Strategies at Hum Capital, where he led systematic underwriting in capital market syndication and principal investments. His background also includes a role as a quantitative researcher with Credit Suisse’s Quantitative Investment Strategies group (QIS), focusing on systematic multi-asset strategies.

David’s decade-long academic journey includes cores in economics and mathematics, and sequences in Quantum Field Theory and String Theory. He graduated from the University of Chicago with a Ph.D. in Econometrics and Finance, as well as an M.B.A. and a B.A. in Economics with Honors.
