About Michael J. Sheyker
Michael is a portfolio manager for Nuveen’s municipal fixed income team. He primarily manages separate accounts with a focus in the mid-Atlantic states. He also co-manages a national municipal strategy.
He began his career in the investment industry when he joined the firm in 1988. Before moving over to the portfolio management team in 2004, Michael was a senior research analyst for three years, serving as lead analyst for the transportation and public power sectors. He previously held assignments as the manager of the asset pricing analysis group and as an equity analyst.
Michael graduated with a B.S. in Finance from Illinois State University and an M.B.A. from Northern Illinois University. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Chicago.
