Ana Leon

Ana Leon joined the Nuveen Real Estate Research team in 2022. She comes with strong insights and experience in the U.S. retail market, which is her primary area of focus.

Ana spent the last 11 years as the Retail Property Specialist within DWS Group’s (formerly known as RREEF) Research and Strategy Team in New York. In this capacity, she led forecasting, analysis, and strategic initiatives supporting the transactions, portfolio, and asset management teams. Prior to DWS, Ana worked on the Boston area research team at Cushman & Wakefield analyzing office, industrial, life science, and retail sector trends. Her real estate career began at Berkshire Mortgage Finance in Boston as a portfolio analyst specializing in multifamily debt. Ana is a recognized retail research thought leader. She serves as the co- chair of ICSC’s North American Research Group, which supports ICSC’s research and advocacy initiatives to elevate retail real estate.
