About Chris Jeltrup
Chris is a portfolio manager and Co-Head of Securitized Products Research for Nuveen’s global fixed income team and a member of the securitized sector team, specializing in commercial mortgage-backed securities. He is responsible for managing the organization’s Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities (CMBS) investment portfolios across all public-markets mandates, as well as leading the CMBS and Asset-Backed Securities (ABS) credit research teams.
Prior to joining the firm in 2009, Chris has held various commercial real estate finance positions in investment management, debt/equity underwriting, and market analysis. Prior to joining the Global Fixed Income team in 2013 as a CMBS Senior Research Analyst, he also held roles within TIAA’s Global Real Estate and Risk Management groups. Before joining TIAA, he also held several banking roles that focused on multi-family equity originations and asset management. He entered the industry in 2003.
Chris graduated with a B.S. in Geography from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
