Richard Haight

Richard is responsible for managing global timberland acquisitions and dispositions as well as pipeline development and deployment of capital for Nuveen Natural Capital.

Most recently Richard served as Head of TTG Forestry Services and U.S. Operations for BTG Pactual’s Timberland Investment Group (TIG), supporting the management of TIG’s $3.5 billion in global AUM in both the United States and abroad. At TIG Richard also served on both the Timberland Management Committee and the Timberland Investment Committee. Before joining TIG in 2015, Richard spent 6 years as Chief Operating Officer working for Brookfield’s Timber Funds in Brazil, where he played a key role in growing Brookfield’s assets under management in Brazil from 60,000 hectares to 300,000 hectares as well as growing the operations to several separate but fully integrated operating businesses.

Richard holds a Master’s Degree in Quantitative Resource Management from the College of Forestry at the University of Washington and a Bachelor of Science in Forestry from Cal Poly where he graduated with honors.
