About Michael Hunter
Michael oversees the Global Housing and Alternative Real Estate Sector teams for Nuveen Real Estate. In this role, Michael is responsible for setting investment strategies and overseeing investment execution and operations. Michael also defines a strategy for new funds and investment vehicles. He is also a member of the Global Executive Leadership Team and a voting member of the Americas Investment Committee.
Before joining the firm in 2017, he served as Senior Investment Officer for the New York State Common Retirement Fund. He has also worked in an acquisitions capacity for Blackpoint Partners and Griffin Capital.
Michael graduated with a B.S. in Environmental and Business Economics from Rutgers University.
