Hiroshi Hamazaki

Hiroshi is a trader and portfolio manager at Gresham Investment Management, an investment specialist of Nuveen. He is Gresham's head trader for the firm’s managed futures strategy and he trades for the firm’s active long-only and systematic exotic commodities strategies.

Hiroshi joined Gresham in 2013 and was previously the director of performance analytics, and in that role he assessed commodity fundamentals and trading performance for all of the firm’s main strategies. Prior to joining Gresham, Hiroshi was a portfolio manager at Nomura Funds Research and Technologies America, Nomura’s alternative investments division, where he managed several funds of funds and evaluated real assets on behalf of Japanese investors. In that, Hiroshi evaluated agricultural and energy fundamentals as part of their real assets mandate, in order to assess investment opportunities through private equity funds focused on farmland, infrastructure and timberland as well as public equity.

Hiroshi graduated with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and an M.B.A. in Finance from New York University's Stern School of Business.
