John Goodreds

John is a Managing Director on Nuveen’s real asset platform and has 30 years of private markets investment and portfolio management experience including 17 years in alternatives and real assets.

Prior to Nuveen, John was a managing director with AGR Partners, a Nuveen affiliate specializing in equity investments in leading food and agricultural value-chain companies. Before joining AGR, John was a managing director of real assets, at TIAA (the parent company of Nuveen) where he helped found and manage the agribusiness investment platform. From 2005 to 2010, he was a member of TIAA’s Private Equity team, and prior to 2005 John was part of TIAA’s Private Placements team. Before joining TIAA in 1996, he worked at National Westminster Bank.

John graduated with a B.A. in Economics from Colgate University and an M.B.A. in Finance from Columbia Business School.
