Thomas W. Conklin Jr., CFA^®

Tom is a portfolio manager for the Nuveen Small/Mid Cap Growth Opportunities Fund. He is also a Nuveen senior research analyst for the Small Cap Select and Small Cap Growth Opportunities teams specializing in the industrials, basic materials, energy and semiconductor industries. He previously was a research analyst for the mid- and large-cap equity team.

Prior to joining the firm in 2012, Tom was with Robert W. Baird & Co., serving as a vice president and senior research analyst covering the industrial and materials sectors for the firm’s large- and mid-cap growth strategies. Prior to that role, he was a sell-side research analyst at Baird following advanced industrial equipment companies. Tom started working in the investment industry in 2001.

Tom graduated with a B.B.A., magna cum laude, in Finance from the University of Notre Dame and an M.B.A. with concentrations in Finance, Accounting and Statistics from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst^® designation and is a member of the CFA Institute.
