Dries Bruyland

Dries is a highly accomplished renewable energy executive with leadership experience and industry network across North America, Latin America and Europe. He joined Nuveen Infrastructure’s clean energy team (previously Glennmont Partners) in 2022 as the Head of US and to his role, he brings a background including over a decade of solar and energy storage experience and $4BN of successfully closed M&A and financing transactions in the US.

Prior to joining Nuveen Infrastructure’s clean energy team, Dries served as founding member and Managing Director – M&A and Finance at Origis Energy, a leading US solar and energy storage development firm. Dries was instrumental in the successful entry of the firm in the US market and in this role he led the origination, structuring, acquisition and financing of over $3BN of renewables projects. In a prior role at Origis, Dries served as the Managing Director for Latin America, leading the firm’s expansion of regional operations and successfully realizing 200 MW of solar developments. His investment banking experience includes roles at Morgan Stanley and JPMorgan Chase & Co.

Dries holds a Masters degree in Mathematics & Computer Engineering from the Catholic University Leuven and a Masters degree in Applied Economics with a specialization in Finance.
