About Mikal Lewis
Mikal is the Director of Proptech and Innovation at Nuveen. He focuses on proptech investments and innovation initiatives across Nuveen Real Estate.
Prior to joining Nuveen in 2022, Mikal was an investor at DBL Partners, a leading impact focused venture capital firm based in San Francisco, California. Prior to joining DBL Partners, Mikal was a strategic advisor to Governor Ned Lamont of Connecticut where he worked on climate initiatives, COVID response and broadband policy. Additionally, Mikal has previous experience with Shell Oil Company.
Mikal graduated with a B.B.A. in Finance from Georgia Southern University and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. His thought leadership on the intersection of real estate and climate has been featured by venture capital firm, Fifth Wall, and Connected Real Estate Magazine.
