Jordi Francesch

Jordi Francesch is Global Head of Clean Energy at Nuveen Infrastructure, leading the firm’s clean energy equity infra business globally. Based in London, he sets strategic direction for Nuveen’s clean energy equity investment strategy, overseeing investment execution, asset management, product development, and investors relations across the platform. He chairs the investment committee of the different funds under management in Nuveen’s Clean energy equity funds and provides strategic direction across value creation, power markets and asset management strategies across the portfolio. Jordi sits on the Board of Directors of UK regulated entities and several platforms such as Verdian Power, BNZ and JVs, overseeing governance for the wholly owned projects and regularly reporting to the management committees, investors and non-executive boards. Jordi joined Nuveen infra as part of its acquisition of Glennmont Partners, where he previously served as Global Head of Asset Management and Chief Risk Officer for the Clean energy business. In that role, Jordi led his team providing strategic direction to the lifecycle of the portfolio, leading on any material contractual challenges, assisting with acquisitions and their incorporation into the portfolio, overseeing governance for the wholly owned projects and regularly reporting to the management committees, investors and non-executive boards. He has more than 24 years’ experience in the energy sector, 11 of which has been spent in renewables. Before joining Nuveen Infrastructure, Jordi spent 10 years at Royal Dutch Shell, the world’s second largest independent energy company. Jordi holds B.A.s in Finance & Business Administration and Economics respectively from Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Catalonia, Spain) and an MSc in Environmental Economics from University of London.

He has more than 23 years’ experience in the energy sector, 11 of which spent in renewables. Before joining the team, Jordi spent 10 years at Royal Dutch Shell, the world’s second largest independent energy company.

Jordi holds B.A.s in Finance & Business Administration and Economics respectively from Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Catalonia, Spain) and an MSc in Environmental Economics from University of London.
