Nuveen strengthens international business
Nuveen, one of the world’s largest investment managers, has appointed Cora Gibbons as Managing Director, International Product.
Based in London, Gibbons will be responsible for leading and managing key product strategy, development and management initiatives in Europe, as well as contributing to the product strategy globally. She will report into Jeffrey Hall, Senior Managing Director and Head of International Product based in the firm’s hub in Charlotte, NC.
Gibbons has a wealth of industry experience, having worked in the investment management industry for over 20 years. She joins Nuveen from Artemis, where she was Head of Product for two years. Her prior experience includes roles at other asset managers including Invesco, Allianz Global Investors and Barings, working internationally from bases in London, Paris and Frankfurt.
Gibbons was Chairperson of the European Fund Classification Committee of EFAMA from 2010-2018 and having been a long-standing member of the Investment Association’s Product Development & Regulations Committee, recently served as Chair. Furthermore, in 2016 she also set up the Women’s Product Forum, a group that has over 30 members of senior women in Product and meets quarterly to discuss and debate a number of product topics and maintain a support network for women working in product.
Jeffrey Hall said: “Cora’s track record is not only proven but hugely impressive. Investors across the world are looking for like-minded partners who can deliver innovative solutions to help them meet their goals. Cora’s appointment is testament of Nuveen’s commitment to this and we’re really happy to have her on board.”
Nuveen collectively serves a wide range of investors in the EMEA region including pension funds, insurance companies, sovereign wealth funds, banks and family offices. The firm offers an array of separate accounts, commingled fund and UCITS strategies to investors across a wide range of liquid and illiquid alternative strategies such as real estate, real assets (farmland, timber, infrastructure), private equity and debt, in addition to both traditional and fixed income assets.
