About Carl
Carl is responsible for retail investments made on behalf of TIAA’s General Account, either through direct ownership or part of a joint venture. The portfolio includes two joint ventures invested in European retail assets: one is dedicated to the outlet sector in partnership with Neinver and the other is focused on dominant German shopping centres, in partnership with CNP. He is also responsible for sourcing and managing other European retail opportunities to grow TIAA’s overall exposure within Europe.
Prior to joining the company in 2008 as a fund analyst, Carl began his career as a finance graduate at DSG Retail. In 2006, he joined Telereal, a boutique property investment house, where he was part of the financial modelling team analysing new investment opportunities and projects.
Carl graduated with a B.S. in Business and Mathematics & Statistics from the London School of Economics and holds the CIMA designation.
