next issue no. 5:The future of defined contribution

Issue no. 5

Unprecedented. Uncertain. Trying times. You’re on mute.

In this issue of next we look at how to evolve the QDIA from a simple savings vehicle to a retirement vehicle that can take participants to and through retirement. We also recognize that even amidst a global pandemic, retirement regulation and legislation continue to be tweaked. Relatedly, we take a look the Department of Labor’s new proposal on the inclusion of ESG investments in defined contribution and offer our own research on participant sentiment on the topic. To round out the issue, we come full circle and look at how to incorporate alternative investments, another item on the regulatory agenda, in the quest for improved retirement outcomes.
