About Todd

Todd is a portfolio manager for Nuveen Real Estate’s U.S. Cities Retail strategy. Previously, he was head of east coast asset management and acquisitions for the retail team, accountable for the overall performance of a multi-billion portfolio of 41 retail shopping centers and mixed-use assets totaling approximately 10 million sq ft. Notable assignments within the business have included managing a 600,000 sq ft urban retail portfolio with assets in Boston, Washington D.C. and New York and serving as internal lead on a number of power/grocery/lifestyle centers, both wholly-owned and jointly-held ventures with third-party partners. In 2015-2016, as a part of a broader redevelopment project, Todd repositioned the retail component of 475 Fifth Avenue in New York, landing two global flagship stores directly across from the New York Public Library.

Prior to joining the business in 2012, Todd was vice president of asset management at Acadia Realty Trust where he was responsible for the third-party platform including a portfolio of eight mixed-use, urban in-fill redevelopments in Manhattan and the surrounding boroughs totaling over 1.6 million sq ft of GLA, the acquisition of the Mervyn’s Department Store chain from Target in 2004, the repositioning of the Levitz portfolio, and several other third-party asset management mandates.

Todd graduated with a B.A. in International Studies from Emory College and an M.B.A. from Goizueta Business School at Emory University. He has participated in numerous public speaking engagements and panels including the ICSC, ULI, JLL Retail University, and TIAA’s UConn/UNC M.B.A. forums. Todd is an active member of the ICSC.
