Morten Olesen

Morten is a highly skilled real estate investment professional and CFA charterholder with nearly two decades of experience in real estate investment and asset management. Morten joined Nuveen in October 2024 and serves as Senior Director, Head of Investment Housing & Alternatives, Germany at Nuveen Real Estate in Frankfurt, where he leads strategic acquisitions and investment management in the residential and alternative asset sectors.

Prior to this, Morten spent over a decade at FFIRE Immobilienverwaltung AG, where he was part of the senior management team and played a key role in scaling the business from a startup to a company with EUR 3.0b in transaction volume. His responsibilities ranged from defining investment strategy to oversee acquisitions and asset management. Earlier in his career he played a key role at Deutsche Annington (now Vonovia) as investment manager. At Speymill Group he managed liquidity of 100 SPVs and oversaw payments of EUR 500m at a time. His professional career begun as a management consultant at IE Consulting, advising private equity clients on investment strategies.

Morten holds an MEng in Aeronautical Engineering from Imperial College in London and is fluent in English, German, French and Danish.
