Nuveen appoints Gabi Stein to spearhead European capital raising efforts for its real estate platform
Nuveen, a leading global investment manager, has appointed Gabi Stein as Managing Director, Senior Real Estate Specialist in its International Advisory Services division, for its European business. In this newly created role, Gabi will focus on developing and enhancing client and consultant relationships across the real estate sector, working closely alongside Nuveen’s broader sales team. She will report to Rune Sanbeck, Nuveen’s Head of International Advisory Services for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), and is based in the firm’s London office.
With over 20 years’ experience in institutional capital raising and investor relations, Gabi joins from Tishman Speyer. Having joined the firm, in 2006 she was responsible for client relationships and capital raising activities across the UK, Ireland, the Netherlands, southern Europe and Israel.
Prior to joining Tishman Speyer, Ms. Stein was director of institutional business with Henderson Global Investors, and prior to that worked at Jones Lang Wootton (now Jones Lang LaSalle) and LaSalle Investment Management. She graduated from Oxford University with an MA in modern languages.
Rune Sanbeck commented: “As we continue to build our pipeline of real estate strategies, suitable for European investors, Gabi’s deep client relationships and knowledge of the real estate industry will be an asset to Nuveen.”
Mike Sales, Head of Nuveen Real Estate and Real Assets, added: “Having previously worked with Gabi, during her time at Henderson Global Investors, I am excited to welcome her back on board. We are committed to managing relationships with our investors to the highest quality standards and are pleased to have Gabi’s extensive experience to help us better tailor solutions to their needs.
Nuveen collectively serves approximately 400 institutional clients in the EMEA region across a wide range of investors including pension funds, insurance companies, sovereign wealth funds, banks and family offices.
The firm offers a wide range of separate accounts, open and closed end funds and UCITS strategies to investors across a wide range of liquid and illiquid alternative strategies such as real estate, real assets (farmland, timber, infrastructure), private equity and debt, in addition to both traditional and fixed income assets.
