TH Real Estate has been awarded their highest score to date from the ‘Principles for Responsible Investment’ (PRI), the world’s leading proponent of responsible investment supported by the United Nations.
Abigail Dean, Head of Sustainability at TH Real Estate, comments: "We are extremely proud to have achieved an A+ and A from the Principles for Responsible Investment for the third consecutive year, increasing our score within the A grade by three points. It is crucial we are incorporating sustainability and climate change risk into our investment process in order for our commitment to Tomorrow’s World to be meaningful, and it is great to see the business getting behind this."
The initiative is a premier global benchmark which assesses asset managers' integration of environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors into decision making and ownership practices. The assessment reviewed over 1,000 participants, including all major global asset managers. It has two components; strategy and governance scorecard (for all asset managers) and real estate scorecard (specifically for real estate managers). TH Real Estate earned an A+ and A rating, respectively.
TH Real Estate's tomorrow's world approach focuses on the bigger picture trends and insights that will impact the future use and demand for global real estate. As part of this, TH Real Estate has committed to reducing the energy intensity of its global portfolio by 30% by 2030.
