Cora A. Bruemmer
About Cora A. Bruemmer
Cora is a senior research analyst for Nuveen’s municipal fixed income team, responsible for conducting credit analysis and providing trade recommendations. She covers the tax-backed sector, primarily responsible for issuers in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, as well as the higher education sector.
Prior to joining the firm in 2024, Cora was a municipal credit analyst at S&P Global Ratings. She was the co-author of S&P’s “Methodology for Rating U.S. Governments,” which is S&P’s primary criteria for rating more than 10,000 state and local government issuers. Cora also worked as a municipal credit analyst at Moody’s Investors Service covering midwest local governments. She began working in the investment industry in 2013. Prior to working in the investment industry, she worked as a consultant for local governments.
Cora graduated with a B.A. from the University of Rochester and an M.P.A. in Public Finance and Policy Analysis from Indiana University.
