About William

William heads Nuveen’s Closed-End Fund Business Development Group and is responsible for raising public and private capital for Nuveen’s closed-end funds. In this role, he leads Nuveen’s new business development team on the origination and syndication of new closed-end fund IPOs. 

William joined the firm in 1992 and has been involved with the successful launch of more than 100 CEF IPOs as well as the development of many innovative financing structures utilized as leverage by Nuveen funds. 

William graduated with a B.S. in Finance from Marquette University and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago. He also holds the FINRA Series 7 and 24 securities registrations.
