About Lori A. McDonald
Lori is a senior research analyst for Nuveen’s municipal fixed income team, responsible for conducting fundamental credit analysis and contributing to relative value assessments with portfolio managers and traders. She is assigned to the tax-backed sector, covering issuers in the western and southwestern regions of the U.S.
Prior to joining the firm in 2008, she spent five years as a unit trust credit analyst with Van Kampen Investments, responsible for the selection, monitoring and supervision of both fixed income and equity unit trusts. Previously, she worked as a professional liability underwriter at Chubb Insurance Company and also as a sell side analyst at A.G. Edwards & Sons. Lori started working in the investment industry in 1999.
Lori graduated with a B.B.A. and an M.B.A. in Finance from Loyola University, Chicago. She is currently serving as vice president of the Chicago Municipal Analysts Society and as a board member for the National Federation of Municipal Analysts. She is also a member of Women in Public Finance.
