Mikal Lewis
About Mikal Lewis
Mikal Lewis is the Director of Nuveen Real Asset Ventures where he makes venture capital investments in technology companies serving infrastructure, natural capital, and real estate markets. His investment focus spans early-stage companies developing technologies that transform the ownership and operation of real assets. In addition to investing, Mikal works with teams across Nuveen’s global real assets platform to identify emerging technologies and support their adoption and commercialization across Nuveen’s portfolio.
Prior to joining Nuveen, Mikal was an investor at DBL Partners, an impact-focused venture capital firm. Previously, he served as an advisor to Connecticut Governor, Ned Lamont, where he focused on energy and transportation, and held several roles at Shell, where he worked in the downstream business advancing global energy platforms.
Mikal holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business from Georgia Southern University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
