About Batih Van Leer
Batih is the co-head of the strategic investments team based in Europe. He focuses on sourcing and executing high yield investment opportunities across all real estate sectors and works with Nuveen’s existing vertically integrated sector specialist teams. In addition to this, he oversees the deployment of Nuveen’s European value add series, as well as being involved in capital raising.
Prior to his current role, Batih was at ARES Management for approximately 10 years where he was managing director and head of European transactions. Before joining ARES Management, he held roles at CBRE Investment Management focused on real estate acquisitions and asset management, and with Savills in the Netherlands.
Batih is a native of the Netherlands and holds a BBS from the University of Amsterdam. Prior to that, he served in the Dutch Royal Marine Commandos.
