About Jena Hines

Jena Hines is a Senior Director on Nuveen’s Private Fixed Income team where she is focused on the origination of Credit Tenant Loans. In her current role, Jena oversees the CTL lending business, acting as sole or lead investor in long duration, Credit-Tenant backed lease pass-throughs.

Jena joined Nuveen in 2024 after a 17-year career on the CMBS and CRE Debt buy-side. Upon joining Nuveen, she focused first on portfolio risk for the Nuveen Green Capital C-PACE business then transitioned to CTL originations for the Private Fixed Income team in 2025. She brings significant experience in the CRE Credit and CTL and Ground Lease space from her previous role at TPG Angelo Gordon. From 2008-2023, Jena served as a senior member of the Commercial Real Estate Debt Group at TPG Angelo Gordon focused on the underwriting, acquisition, trading and portfolio management of a large portfolio of CMBS conduit, SASB, and CTL/Ground secondary investments. While still at TPG Angelo Gordon, Jena led a post-Covid initiative to educate potential investors about CTL and Ground Lease investments and how to build a portfolio of accretive loans.

Jena received her graduate degree from Washington University in St. Louis.
