About Cristina Hastings Newsome
Cristina is Head of Sustainability at Nuveen Natural Capital and leads sustainability and ESG across the platform. She sits on the Nuveen Natural Capital Leadership Team, the Executive Management Team and the Global Investment Committee. She leads the ESG Committee, supporting the strategy and implementation of a range of sustainability themes to provide Nature, Climate and People solutions through agriculture and timberland investments.
Cristina joined Nuveen Natural Capital from Louis Dreyfus Company (LDC) where she led the group’s global sustainability efforts across the Grains and Oilseeds complex. She previously held roles in strategy in AstraZeneca, Proteus and Accenture.
Cristina graduated with an M.A. from the University of Oxford, an M.B.A. from the London Business School, and a Post Graduate Certificate in Sustainable Value Chains from the University of Cambridge.
