Aaron Brunette is a Nuveen Equities Research Analyst (since 2005). Current responsibilities include covering the Industrials and Consumer Staples Sectors for the Nuveen Dividend Growth, International, Global and Select Portfolios. Additional duties include producing comprehensive research reports, sector reviews, quarterly earnings reports and valuation models. Further insights are gained by attending global industry conferences, convening with sell-side analysts, management teams and macroeconomic strategists. Additional communication occurs by participating in investment committee, marketing, due diligence and client meetings. The investment focus continues to be on dividend growth, fundamental research and valuation analysis in order to provide positive long-term total return. The value provided includes generating positive total attribution for the Dividend Growth Portfolio throughout the past decade.
Prior to joining Nuveen in 2002, Aaron Brunette was a research analyst at Peritus Asset Management from 2001-2002, analyzing corporate fixed income securities across all sectors by utilizing fundamental research and valuation analysis in order to provide positive long-term total return. Notable achievements from a prior role include being the Head Trader at Santa Barbara Asset Management from 2002-2005 (acquired by Nuveen). Solely responsible for trading all equity and fixed income securities across all portfolios as total assets under management expanded from ~$500M to $3B. As a result of the positive long-term performance, diligent work ethic and previous research experience, Aaron Brunette was promoted as a equity research analyst in 2005.
Aaron Brunette graduated from Westmont College in 2001 (B.A. in Economics and Business), graduated from California Lutheran University in 2008 (M.B.A. with a Finance Emphasis) and was issued the FINRA Series 65 Designation in 2003 (expired as of 2023).
