About Jason J. Acosta
Jason Acosta works to drive consistent, proactive asset management, and ensure resources are allocated optimally across the entire portfolio. He is directly responsible for preserving the affordability of Nuveen’s Impact Investment portfolio to represent the financial goals and social mission. This includes overseeing annual strategic business plans, mitigating portfolio risks, teaming with stakeholders, directing continual improvements to the portfolio’s economic performance; ensuring consistent compliance with affordable housing programs; and coordinating with partners to maintain performance stabilization and preservation throughout the asset life cycle.
With 20 years+ experience, both on the public and private sectors, Jason has been an integral affordable housing advocate with a focus on building lasting partnerships, and providing uncompromising services. Prior to joining Nuveen, Jason oversaw an extensive portfolio of Class A, B and value-added real estate products throughout the US.
Jason holds a M.B.A. and professional certifications in Real Estate Investment from NYU and USC. He has also completed an Executive Master’s Degree of Urban Policy and Leadership at USC Sol Price. Jason currently serves on the Board for the USC Lusk Center of Real Estate and REA-L, Founder of Project AIRE, and is an active member for the All Ways Up Foundation’s Scholars, NAREIM and Real Estate Executive Council.
