- Chief Investment Officer, Real Estate, Europe & Asia Pacific
Michael is responsible for the investment oversight and strategy of Nuveen Real Estate’s Europe and Asia Pacific platform. He sits on the executive leadership team, is a director of various Nuveen Real Estate regulated and non-regulated boards, and chairs the European and Asia Pacific investment committees for both equity and debt investments.
Prior to his current role, Michael has held several roles including head of U.K. investment, fund manager of the U.K. retail warehouse strategy, and fund director for a series of U.K. and European balanced strategies. Prior to joining Nuveen Real Estate, Michael was the fund manager for two retail-focused strategies at Aberdeen Property Investors with further oversight responsibilities for the retail assets held within all balanced strategies. Prior to this role, he was an associate director at Hammerson, responsible for retail development, investment and asset management activities.
Michael graduated with a B.Sc., honours, in Urban Land Economics from Sheffield Hallam University and is a member associate of the RICS.
