About Ovidiu Patrascu
Ovidiu Patrascu is a Senior Director in Nuveen’s Responsible Investment Strategy team, leading on thought-leadership in support of the firm’s commercial ambitions and growth of the sustainability franchise. He joined Nuveen in 2025 from Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM) where he led sustainability for the fiduciary management multi-asset solutions business, working closely with corporate pension fund clients.
Prior to GSAM, Ovidiu was the Head of Sustainable Investing for the BAE pension fund supporting the Trustees and the investment team on their sustainability journeys. Prior to that, he was a sustainable investment analyst with Schroders focusing on thematic research, proprietary climate modelling tools and ESG integration across public markets. Earlier in his career, he was a fundamental equity research analyst focusing on long-only global equity strategies.
Ovidiu has more than 14 years investment industry experience and is a CFA® Charterholder. He holds a MSc in Strategy and Management of International Business from ESSEC Business School and a MSc in Engineering from I.N.S.A Lyon France.
