About Heather McElwee Plafcan
Heather is Global Co-Head of Legal for Nuveen Natural Capital, with regional responsibility for the legal operations in North and South America. Heather joined Nuveen Natural Capital in 2018 and supported the development of Nuveen Global Farmland Fund, along with the growth and management of the US business.
Heather is part of the Nuveen Natural Capital Leadership Team, participates in the Global Investment Committee, and observes the Boards for Plata Wine Partners and Monterey Pacific, LLC.
Heather graduated with a Juris Doctorate from the University of Mississippi and is a licensed attorney through the Texas Bar Association. She completed her International Law curriculum at the University of Cambridge and holds a B.A. in Political Science and Psychology from Auburn University.
