About Chungwei Hsia

Chungwei is a senior research analyst for Nuveen’s global fixed income team and a member of the international and emerging markets debt sector team. He is responsible for covering emerging markets Asian corporates and quasi-sovereigns.

Prior to joining the firm in 2018, Chungwei worked for Macquarie Investment Management’s Delaware Investments, where he spent more than 11 years and most recently was a senior analyst and portfolio manager on their emerging markets debt team. Prior to that, Chungwei held various senior research and investment management positions at OppenheimerFunds, Merrill Lynch Investment Managers, and Federated Investors. He was selected for The Asset Magazine’s “Most Astute Asian G3 Bond Investors” list in 2021, ranking number eight in that year. Chungwei started his professional career as a research manager and engineer at United States Steel Corp.

Chungwei graduated with a B. S. in Engineering from National Taipei Institute of Technology, an M.B.A. from Carnegie Mellon University, and a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from The Ohio State University. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation.
