Nuveen Green Capital’s C-PACE financing provided over $1.9M for renovations to the property. The project’s energy efficiency measures included LED lighting, HVAC, high-efficiency pumps, and an energy management system which are projected to have a lifetime savings of $3,649,291 & 1,402,319 kWh of energy. The measures also helped to significantly improve the quality of life for the residents of the facility.
Property summary
Shalom Park is a 120,000-square foot senior living facility in Aurora, CO, that has been in operation since 1993.
One of the most important parts of the project for the organization was to be able to make this as much of a green project as possible. We reached out to Nuveen Green Capital and to Haynes, they came in, they calmed us down, they gave us the vision for this project. Because of the LED lighting and all of the energy savings we’ve done throughout the building we are already seeing decreases in our monthly utility bills. This was one of the most beneficial, productive projects we’ve done so far.
