Property summary
After losing their original headquarters to a fire in 2020, Family Support Services of Amarillo moved into 2209 Southwest 7th Avenue with plans to convert it into their new home. FSS is a nonprofit Texas corporation whose mission is to empower individuals and families through comprehensive advocacy, education and intervention. They purchased the subject property in the Fall of 2020. C-PACE will finance the renovations alongside sponsor equity and a traditional construction loan.
C-PACE financing provided us with the opportunity to rebuild the energy infrastructure of our soon-to-be home office building to be more energy efficient and much more economical. As a nonprofit agency, the importance of this cannot be overstated. It will help ensure that we will be able to continue to provide services for many years to come. The Nuveen Green Capital staff were also great to work with and extremely helpful in guiding us through the process.
