52 Commerce Drive South is the location for an under development construction project in Harriman, New York. The site will be the home to a new self-storage facility operated by CubeSmart®. Upon completion, the building will occupy 134,100 square feet and will stand four stories tall.
Property summary
$2.5M in C-PACE financing will go towards the construction of several energy efficiency measures. Nuveen Green Capital will provide C-PACE funding for LED interior and exterior lighting, wall and roof insulation, HVAC, and window upgrades. With these improvements, the building design received a score of 98 from ENERGY STAR.
The Orange County Legislature enabled the Open C-PACE program to encourage commercial property owners to incorporate energy efficiency measures into their building design. We are excited that CubeSmart and Nuveen Green Capital were able to work together to deliver Orange County’s first C-PACE funded project. We encourage other developers to learn from their example and use C-PACE financing to reduce their operating cost through energy efficiency while also helping to protect our environment.
