About Lucas Johnson
Lucas is the Senior Director, Operations for Nuveen Green Capital. In this role, he oversees the firm’s central operations functions, including its technology platforms for CRM, deal closing, and asset management. In addition, he supervises and leads NGC’s internal procedure development to expand the firm’s profitability, maximize its efficiency, and protect against losses. During NGC’s national expansion of the firm’s Originations teams, he built out the Transaction Management function in support of 10 teams, enabling them to transact on $1B over two years.
With over 11 years of experience, prior to Nuveen Green Capital, Lucas worked in environmental conservation advocacy at the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, and as an organizer for the Obama 2012 presidential campaign.
Lucas graduated with a BA in Public Policy from Stanford University and received dual MBA and Environmental Management degrees from Yale University.
