About Tanja Volksheimer
Tanja is fund manager for Germany's first Impact fund, which provides housing for households with financial and non financial disadvantages. Her focus is on investing in early stage projects with an impact oriented approach to increase the supply of social and affordable housing.
Tanja joined Nuveen in 2010 and assumed responsibility for the investment performance of a portfolio consisting of a variety of office, retail and logistics properties. Previously, she had been an asset and investment manager for office, light industrial, logistics and retail properties at UK/Australian investor GPT Halverton . Tanja’s professional background is in architecture and technical facility management. She has gained practical experience abroad, including in the USA, Italy and New Zealand
She graduated with a Diploma Ing . (FH) in Architecture from Wiesbaden University of Applied Sciences and a Master of Science in Facility Management in Engineering from Mainz University of Applied Sciences. She is a registered architect with the Chamber of Architects and holds an Investment Advisor Certificate in Sustainable and Responsible Investing and in Real Estate Investment and Finance from EBS European Business School . In addition, Tanja Volksheimer is involved in social projects: she contributes to UrbanPlan the education programme of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) as a ULI NEXT representative and is active in the Boston Consulting Group's " Business@school " initiative. Since the beginning of 2021, she has also been co leader of the real estate working group at the federal initiative Impact Investing.
