About Bob Redican

Bob is a Managing Director and Head of Fund Finance, Americas at Nuveen Real Estate. He also serves as the Chief Financial Officer & Treasurer for the Nuveen Global Cities REIT. His team is responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting for the U.S. portfolios and accounts managed by Nuveen Real Estate. This includes the TIAA General Account’s real estate investments, the TIAA Real Estate Account and multiple open and closed-end funds, separately managed accounts and joint ventures across all property sectors.

He currently manages 60 staff members located in Charlotte, Hartford, New York, Chicago and Boston. Specifically, Bob’s teams are responsible for fund-level GAAP financial statements, investor reporting, cash management, new fund launches, transaction structuring, TIAA statutory reporting, asset valuations, system maintenance and oversight of Fund Administrators.

Prior to joining the firm in 2006, Bob worked in multiple accounting roles at several insurance companies, such as New York Life, American International Group and AXA Financial. Bob graduated with a B.S. in Accounting from Fordham University and an M.B.A. in Finance, also from Fordham University.
