Loran Shanahan

Loran is Chief Operating Officer of Nuveen and a member of the Executive Management Team. She is responsible for aligning the firm’s strategy through an integrated approach across business management, client experience and services, communications, culture and facilities.

Loran serves as a trusted counsel to the CEO, synthesizing the needs and opportunities across the enterprise to support the execution of strategic initiatives and associated business plans. Collectively, her organization is charged with driving efficiency and creating solutions for Nuveen’s biggest business challenges, while maintaining a work culture that develops, lifts and engages employees.

Prior to joining the firm in 2015, Loran worked as a senior consultant, serving advisory, restructuring and turnaround clients within the financial services industry.

Loran graduated with a B.B.A. and M.B.A. in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin, McCombs School of Business.
