About Jason W. Strife
Jason is Head of Churchill’s Junior Capital and Private Equity Solutions business. In this capacity, he is responsible for strategy, sourcing, executing and portfolio construction for Churchill’s three investment mandates including junior lending and equity co investment, as well as private equity fund commitments. Jason has nearly twenty years of alternative asset investment experience, having worked in several capacities executing junior debt and equity investments in middle market companies.
Prior to joining Nuveen, Jason was a Principal at Bison Capital, a Los Angeles based private equity firm focused on structured junior capital investments in lower middle market companies. Prior to Bison Capital, Jason was an investment professional at Weston Presidio, a Boston and San Francisco based middle market private equity firm focused on growth capital and leveraged buyout investing. Prior to Weston Presidio, Jason worked in the Mergers and Acquisitions group of Wachovia Securities, executing primarily sell side transactions on behalf of private equity clients.
Jason graduated with a bachelor’s in Analytical Finance and a master’s in Accounting from Wake Forest University, where he earned a partial scholarship for his graduate studies and passed the CPA examination. He sits on the Advisory Council of the Wake Forest Accounting program and is involved in corporate boards and private equity advisory boards.
