Michael L. Robinson, CPA

Michael oversees formation, governance, portfolio construction and marketing of the Farmland REIT business.

Michael joined Nuveen Natural Capital in 2009 as Corporate Controller. Until 2020, Michael served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. In that role, Michael established the global financial platform for the business. From 2020 – 2025, Michael served as the Global Chief Operating Officer and led the operating model across NNC’s global business. He has served on the Board of Directors for many of our investment business across US, LATAM and APAC. He is a member of the Global Investment Committee.

Prior to joining Nuveen Natural Capital, Michael was a financial services Assurance Manager with PwC in Chicago. He worked with some of the firm’s largest financial services clients specializing in the areas of investment management, banking, and broker-dealers. Michael grew up on a family corn, soybean and livestock farm in Central Illinois.

Michael graduated with a B.S. in Agriculture and Consumer Economics and a Master’s of Accounting Science both from the University of Illinois. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
