Joy Crenshaw, CIMA^®

Joy is a Senior Managing Director at Nuveen and leads the Global Learning platform across three strategic verticals: Advisor Education, Enterprise Learning, and Sales Learning & Development. In this role, Joy sets the vision and strategic direction for how Nuveen develops talent, builds capability, and drives performance across the organization and its client-facing distribution teams worldwide.

Joy also serves on the firm's Culture and Inclusion Council and is Nuveen's Senior Global Sponsor for the partnership with Black Women of Asset Management, reflecting her deep commitment to inclusion and advancing the profession.

Since joining the firm in 1997, Joy has held a variety of leadership positions within the Global Client Group and Global Private Client group, most recently serving as Head of Sales Development and Business Solutions before assuming her current role.

Joy holds Series 7, 66, and 24 licenses and the Certified Investment Management Analyst ^® designation, and has completed executive leadership certifications through Harvard Business School. She serves on the board of the All-Stars Project Chicago and is a founding member of two business resource groups at TIAA. A two-time Diverse Leader of the Year award recipient, Joy is a sought-after speaker on generational wealth transfer and business owner transition topics. She has been quoted in Financial Advisor Magazine, Insurance News Net, and FinancialPlanning.com, and has participated in economic development panels alongside leading CEOs and CIOs across the industry.
