Prior to joining NWQ in 2001, Gregg spent two years at Sturdivant & Company, a value-oriented institutional money manager. Previous to this, he held the position of Vice President and Senior Analyst at Federated Investors, where he also served as Director of Equity Research. Prior to that, he was a Senior Analyst at First Chicago Investment Management Company.

Gregg received his A.B. in Economics and Psychology from Duke University and his M.B.A. with high distinction from the University of Michigan. In addition, he earned the designation of Chartered Financial Analyst in 1998.
