Prior to joining NWQ in 2002, Mike managed institutional, private client fixed income and balanced portfolios for over 15 years. During this time, he held assignments as Director of Global Fixed Income at ING Aeltus, as Chief Investment Officer of a Phoenix Home Life affiliate and was a Principal at Stanford Asset Management.

Mike graduated from the University of Massachusetts with a B.B.A. degree in Finance and received his M.B.A. from Harvard University. He earned the designation of Chartered Financial Analyst in 1989. He is a member of the Los Angeles Society of Financial Analysts.
