David Tierney, Ph.D.

David Tierney is a founder of HydePark as well as the architect of the HydePark
wealth creation model. He directs HydePark's equity investment activity including
all aspects of portfolio management, research, trading and risk management. David,
also a founder of Richards & Tierney, Inc. in 1984, has done extensive work in portfolio
analysis, risk-control services and the management of assets for the last 30 years.
He is recognized as the originator of the “Dynamic Completeness Fund®” concept and the
quadrant mapping of portfolios. Recently, David co-authored the chapter on Investment
Evaluation that is referenced in preparation for the CFA examination series. Prior
to 1984, David was strategically involved in the management of the Amoco Corporation's
pension fund investments.
David earned a bachelor's degree in engineering science (with distinction) from
Northwestern University and an MS and PhD in applied statistics from the University
of Wisconsin. He is a member of the Institute for Quantitative Research and Finance,
and sits on the S&P US Index Advisory Panel.
