Steve Lee, CFA
Steve S. Lee, CFA - Steve heads the Foreign Currency Sector Team and is a member of the Fixed Income Strategy Committee, which establishes investment policy for all taxable fixed income products. As a senior fixed income portfolio manager, he co-manages the Global Total Return Bond Strategy and related institutional portfolios. Additionally, he is a member of the Emerging Markets and Global Interest Rates & Governments Sector Teams.
Steve has been active in global macro strategies and foreign exchange trading since he began working in the financial services industry in 1995. Prior to joining Nuveen Asset Management in 2007, he was a senior vice president and FX trader with HSBC Bank USA. Steve also worked as a portfolio manager at Vega Asset Management and Tribeca Global Investments in New York. He began his career with Deutsche Bank on the firm’s Forward Currency desk.
Steve earned his B.A. in economics and mathematics from Yale University and his M.B.A. in finance from New York University’s Stern School of Business. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Chicago.
Timothy Palmer, CFA
Mr. Palmer leads the global bond and emerging markets debt sector teams of Nuveen Asset Management. Tim began working in the financial industry in 1986, and became a portfolio manager in 1990. Before joining FAF Advisors in 2003, he was a senior fixed-income portfolio manager with American Express Financial Advisors (now Ameriprise Financial). Prior to that, Tim served as CEO and managing principal of Atlas Capital Management, and he was a senior fixed-income portfolio manager for Investment Advisors, Inc. Tim earned a B.A. in economics from the University of St. Thomas and an M.B.A. in finance from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Business. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
